S.T.A.R.

The Supplemental Transgender Assistance and Relief (STAR) program was created to help trans/gender diverse people who are in immediate need of assistance. 

The program is supported by grassroots donors and has the capacity to provide only small monetary relief when the need arises.  

We will communicate any updates to this program on this website. If the application form is currently accepting responses, then the program is still open.

You must be a New Jersey resident who identifies in the trans/gender diverse community to qualify for this program.

Through the S.T.A.R. program, gender diverse people can apply for aid such as:

⭐ Emergency To Go Bags

⭐ Small Amount Gift Cards

⭐Direct Assistance (Temporarily Paused)

Each application cycle is open for one calendar month, meaning we give everyone one month's worth of time to apply in any given cycle. After the month ends, we close the application window and review all requests to see how many we can approve with our available budget. We will respond to your application within 5 business days after the close of the application cycle. If you do not hear from us, please reach out to contact@transequitycoalition.org
